THE ROLE OF NUTRIA MEAT PRODUCTION IN THE CONTEXT OF UKRAINE FOOD SECURITY

Abstract

The article presents the role and potential of the nutria breeding development as an alternative livestock sector in the context of Ukraine's food security. A comparative analysis of qualitative characteristics of meat by species of animals was conducted. The efficiency of nutria breeding by types of enterprises with a short-term forecast is analyzed. By expert evaluations determined the weight of the 5 main problems of the industry, which constitute the next steps of a comprehensive research of nutria breeding.
